In the previous lab, we showed how Cisco SD-WAN allows us to forward a list of trusted business applications directly to the Internet through a local breakout at branches. This might be ok in cases where the list of apps that use DIA is short. However, as more business-critical functions are hosted outside the organization's perimeter, providing up-to-date security and defense against Internet-borne threats is not feasible using traditional on-prem security.
