VLSM without Binary Example 1

We are continuing our examples, doing subnetting without using any binary math. In this lesson, we are going to calculate the subnet ID, broadcast address, and the number of usable addresses given an IP address.
So far, the binary process described in the previous lesson requires that all four octets be converted to binary and then back to decimal. However, this lesson shows a shortcut version of the process based on the decimal subnet mask.
